The territory of the Songhees Nation includes the current city of Victoria and surrounding areas. The main community was moved from the west side of the Victoria harbour to lands that adjoin the SXIMEȽEȽ (Esquimalt) Nation's main reserve.

Language Information

The Lekwungen dialect is currently a sleeping language1.
