The BOḰEĆEN (Pauquachin) are one of the W̱SÁNEĆ (Saanich) peoples with a territory that is centred on the Saanich Penninsula, Goldstream, and neighbouring islands. Most community members live at the Pauquachin main reserve on Coles Bay. The families of BOḰEĆEN speak two languages: SENĆOŦEN and Hul’q’umi’num’ 1.
