Languages in this family

The Dene language family (also known as Athapaskan) is spoken by peoples in the North, North Coast and Interior of British Columbia. Branches of this language family also extedn into Alaska, the Yukon, coastal Washinton, Oregon, and California. A somewhat isolated brach of the Dene language family, the Apachean languages, are also spoken in the Southwestern United States.
