Betty Wilson goes above and beyond her position to keep our language and culture alive in our community and within School District #47. She has been the mentor behind all of the language teachers and the inspiration to many.
Betty’s career started as a language teacher and has continued to flourish as an all-around language and cultural advocate. Our language has come a long way and it is now being offered as a second language within School District #47 and within the University of Victoria as well as Simon Fraser University.
Betty's passion for the Sliammon Language is evident and commendable!
