The Hesquiaht First Nation is on the west coast of Vancouver island where their traditional territory stretches from roughly Nootka Sound to Clayoquot Sound. Their largest community is at Hot Springs Cove (former known as Refuge Cove) and can be reached by boat or float plane.
The community at Hot Springs Cove has about 40 households and the majority of Hesquiaht people live in Port Alberni and other urban centres.
